At Archive by Design, we take great care in curating and delivering high-quality pieces. Please review our returns policy carefully prior to purchasing.

 

Change of Mind Returns

We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery.


To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging
  • Items must be in saleable condition
  • Proof of purchase is required

Returns must be approved prior to being sent. Items returned without approval will not be accepted.

Return Shipping



  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect
  • We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit






Damages, Faults & Incorrect Items



Please inspect your order upon delivery.


If your item is:


  • Damaged
  • Faulty
  • Incorrect



You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing customerservice@archivebydesign.com.au with:


  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item and packaging



We will assess the issue and arrange a suitable resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.





Non-Returnable Items



We do not accept returns for:


  • Sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Custom, made-to-order, or personalised items
  • Items that have been used, installed, or altered






Exchanges



We do not offer direct exchanges.


If you wish to change an item, you will need to:


  1. Submit a return request (if eligible)
  2. Place a new order for the desired item






Refunds



Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.


If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method
  • Please allow 5–10 business days for processing
  • Additional time may be required by your bank or payment provider

Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to a fault or error on our part.

  • Archive by Design reserves the right to decline returns that do not meet the above conditions
  • All returns are assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • This policy operates in conjunction with your rights under Australian Consumer Law
